Empoli sack Zanetti after Roma thrashing
Andreazzoli returns to the job
Paolo Zanetti has been sacked as manager of Empoli following a 7-0 thrashing at AS Roma on Sunday.
The defeat left Empoli bottom of Serie A without a point after four games.
Former coach Aurelio Andreazzoli has returned to the job.
Zanetti had been in charge of Empoli since 2021 and had led them to promotion to Serie A last season.
However, Empoli have struggled this season and have conceded 14 goals in their four league games.
Andreazzoli has previously managed Empoli from 2012 to 2015 and from 2017 to 2019.
His first game back in charge will be against Spezia on Saturday.
